BOOKING PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY: For all 50% non-fundable session retainer is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance is due on the session date. The booking fee must be paid within 24 hours unless otherwise decided between client and photographer, If the booking retainer has not been received after 48 hours, the date will re-open at Lizzie Hopson’s discretion. It is the clients sole responsibility to abide by the terms of this contract, therefore Lizzie Hopson Photography is not responsible for telling the client the date has been re-opened to the public and has the right to book another client for the date.
CANCELLATION POLICY: For any canceled sessions, client forfeits their session retainer paid to book the session date which will act as a cancellation fee. The fee can be credited towards a future session one time if the client reschedules the appointment and re-books at an agreeable date and time if it is available. If session is rescheduled more than 2 times a new retainer is required to reschedule. If Lizzie Hopson Photography cannot perform this contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to photographer’s illness or emergency, then the photographer shall return the retainer fee to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer. In the event Lizzie Hopson Photography fails to perform for any other reason, Lizzie Hopson Photography shall not be liable for any amount in excess of all monies paid.
TIME: Please be on time. Client agrees and understands that the start time agreed upon is the time the session begins. If clients are late for any reason, this time is deducted from their session (client loses this time). If clients are more than 20 minutes late, Lizzie Hopson Photography has the right to leave and the booking retainer will not be refunded or moved to another date. If the client wants to reschedule after the photographer has left, they must pay an additional booking retainer booking fee. If Lizzie Hopson Photography is late for any reason, the time she is late will be added to the session. If clients decide to leave after 20 minutes, Hopson Photography will either refund the booking retainer or move the date without an additional booking retainer being necessary. There will be an additional charge of $50 per 15 minutes that the session runs over if clients wish to continue photographing. Each additional hour will be subject to hourly session pricing.
COPYRIGHT: Please make sure to credit "Lizzie Hopson Photography" when posting images online (social media, blogs, etc). If you submit any images to magazines, websites, etc., the photos must have my logo present and must be credited to "Lizzie Hopson Photography". Failure to do so is a copyright infringement. If you do not have a logo copy of the photo you are submitting, please ask for one. You are especially not to submit altered files to any of the above. Manipulating or distorting images given to you in any way is strictly prohibited.
MODEL CALLS + RELEASE: Must sign a model release form* and be exclusive with Lizzie Hopson
ARCHIVE: After 30 days, all galleries will be removed from the hosting platform, they will be moved to an external hard drive for 1 year after the removal. If a client needs a gallery re - uploaded it is a fee of $50 and will remain online for an additonal 30 days. Client is responsible for saving, downloading and backing up images within the appropriate time frame. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control.
PHOTO MANIPULATION: Upon receipt of your photos, you are not permitted to filter, alter or manipulate the completed files in any way. Doing such is not a true representation of my work.
WEATHER: (for outdoor sessions) - Client will leave this discretion to the photographer to either move forward with photographing or rescheduling. If rescheduling due to weather, the booking retainer will move to the new date. If you are an in home newborn session and it is exceptionally cloudy or stormy outside which makes your home darker inside - Lizzie will recommend that you reschedule to the following day or next clear day to ensure the best results.
TURNAROUND TIME: 2 - 3 weeks (4 during busy months) so please make sure you book in plenty of advanced notice if you are having pictures made for special circumstances! Rush orders can be placed with a turn around of one week or less for an additional $100. Please be sure to specify if you do need your session rushed at the time of booking. If turnaround time is behind due to high demand Lizzie will notify you at the time of booking that it may be extended.
LOCATION CHANGES: If the client is wishing to change their session from an on location or outdoor session to an inside studio session, the client is required to pay the rental fee for the studio of $100 an hour as it was not included in the package purchased. If client wishes to change their on location session to a location outside of Lizzie’s work radius there will be a $50 travel fee added.
GIVEAWAYS + BOGOs - If you are scheduling a mini session that you have won, I will give you dates/times for the session. If you are unable to meet during the dates/times I have given, you may forfeit your session. If you do not show up for your scheduled session, Lizzie Hopson Photography reserves the right to refuse the services won. You will have 3 months to reserve your session if won by giveaway. After this time, please understand the sessions will not be honored (Priority clients will take precedence as well). For all gift cards received - there is an expiration date of 1 year from the date of purchase written on your gift certificate. After that date Lizzie Hopson Photography will not honor the certificate. If you receive a certificate as a gift please be sure to contact Lizzie and schedule your session with plenty of time to spare. If you want until the very last month to schedule a session I cannot promise that we will have dates available, we book months in advance for certain seasons - especially during our peak seasons. Please also bring your certificate that you won to the shoot to be signed and honored. I cannot honor a shoot without this. If you purchase a BOGO (buy one get one free mini session offer) and decide to not move forward with your “free” portion of your package - It is forfeited if you have already used 1 session from the package.
*NOTE* - Photographer works around natural lighting. Outdoor shoots are typically scheduled one hour before sunset or within an hour after sunrise. Indoor shoots are typically done in the morning when lighting is the softest. I do not photograph in harsh light or during midday times (Unless location is discussed and it is workable). Please be mindful of this when booking a session.
